Art-10

Painting with Acrylics.

Acrylic painting is done on a stretched canvas or art board. Before you paint on the canvas you have to prime the board, by putting a thin layer of smooth white acrylic paint or a primer on it; then when it dries you can start painting on it. The medium primer, lets the paints apply smoothly and not sink into the canvas. You can paint different layers to cover over acrylic paint. There are many different techniques to use paint different things like the sky, clouds, mountains, trees, hair and water with acrylics. You can use water with acrylics; because it is water based. You can blot areas of an oil painting with a sponge, and blend in areas with a paint brush on acrylic paintings.
